My Fair Lady [1965]
Hollywood’s legendary “woman’s director”, George Cukor (The Women, The Philadelphia Story), transformed Audrey Hepburn into street-urchin-turned-proper-lady Eliza Doolittle in this film version of the Lerner and Loewe musical. Based on George Bernard Shaw’s play Pygmalion, My Fair Lady stars Rex Harrison as linguist Henry Higgins (Harrison also played the role, opposite Julie Andrews, on stage), who draws Eliza into a social experiment that works almost too well. The letterbox edition of this film on video certainly pays tribute to the pageantry of Cukor’s set, but it also underscores a certain visual stiffness that can slow viewer enthusiasm just a tad. But it’s really star wattage that keeps My Fair Lady exciting–that and such great songs as “On the Street Where You Live” and “I Could Have Danced All Night”. Actor Jeremy Brett, who gained a huge following later in life portraying Sherlock Holmes, is quite electric as Eliza’s determined suitor. –Tom Keogh

Customer Review: On the street where you live
Professor Henry Higgins (Rex Harrison) who specializes in the English language makes a bet with Colonel Hugh Pickering (Wilfrid Hyde-White) that he can take someone who speaks with a lower-class language and by correcting the speech can pass off as upper-class or royalty. Overhearing this bet is a flower girl Eliza Doolittle (Audrey Hepburn); she wants to work a flower stand. But they will not take her unless she can speak more “genteel”. Professor Higgins takes up the challenge. Will he succeed? What does her father (Stanley Holloway) thing finding that she moved in whit the two professors and did not want any clothes? This is a musical version of the movie Pygmalion (1938), based on a play by George Bernard Shaw. As people find that music and movies bring memories of the time in which they heard or viewed it. His movie has a meaning to me as I too was in love and found my self singing “On the street where you live.” One of the strengths of the movie is that many of the songs instead of being classical and just stuffed into at odd times actually are songs that you would initiate in your life and they did so in the lives of the characters in the movie.

Customer Review: A real blast from the past!!
I found this box set on tv and bought it the next day. It has been really good listening to all the old 80’s tracks. It is full of all those tracks you hear on the radio and recognise and miss hearing. My daughter will not admit to listening to what she describes as ‘wrinkly songs’ but it is amusing to hear her sing along. Well worth buying if you enjoy listening to songs with real catchy lyrics that are easy to understand
Customer Review: Ahhhhhh I love it, Bring em BACK!!!!

Customer Review: Attack – ‘About Time! Definitive Mod-Pop Collection, 1967-1968′ (RPM)
A superb nineteen track collection of The Attack’s unreleased gems, Decca singles and radio sessions. About every cut here is truly out-standing, like “Anymore Than I Do”, “Feel Like Flying”, “Try It” (saw the Grassroots perform this song on the oldies circuit many moons ago), the awesome “Go Your Way”, the total grooving “Colour My Mind”, “Lady Orange Peel” (great guitar licks), their happening Stones cover “Sympathy For The Devil”, the uptempo “Neville Thumbcatch”. Several line-up changes took place during the short time The Attack was together, but the most vital personnel appears to have been Richard Shirman-vocals, Geoff Richardson-guitar, George Watt-organ, Kenny Harold-bass and Chris Allen-drums. Comes with nicely assembled 14-page booklet packed with plenty of info, pics, art work and complete band discography. Essential UK ’60’s psych. Should do a LOT for fans of the Action, Q 65, Open Mind, Syn, early Who, the Creation and Les Fleurs De Lys. Another upside with this CD it is has nearly an all-different track listing as The Attack – ‘Early Daze’ disc that was released on the Angel Air label a few years back. Highly recommended.
Customer Review: The Attack,attack!
Never heard of this group before, apart from one song on a four disc MOD set, thought I’d see if they had any albums, lucky for me they did, albeit all four singles and B-sides plus never released material! And I have got to say its the best C.D I’ve bought for a while! Great tracks like ‘Try it’ ‘Go your way’ and a great little pop song called ‘Created by Clive’! If you like a bit of rough sometimes heavy R & B then I recommend! I’m truely loving this record!
CSI: 3 Dimensions Of Murder (PS2) Customer Review: Superb game
I love this game i got it for christmas. You play as a CSI character searching crime scenes for evidence. There are 6 cases to solve in total. It keeps you guessing for ages. Its like playing your own part in the tv show. If you ask for hints it could count against you in your evaluation. Your evaluated at the end of each case to see what ranking CSI you are. A must have for all fans.
Customer Review: Good Game
There are five cases to be sold including a shooting and a bashed head. It took 4 hours to solve one case cause wanted to find out who killer was. If you like forensics etc then this game is for you. But it is a very long game. It can get quite reapeditive after a while.
