This is one of the classic jazz recordings. The quintet consisted of Charlie Parker on sax, Dizzy Gillespie on trumpet, Charles Mingus on bass, Bud Powell on piano and Max Roach on drums. The lead-up to the concert itself was apparently a bit of a shambles, but the music is pretty amazing.

A ‘must have’ CD. This (in)famous concert has 5 of the greatest jazz muscians of the day live in concert! No rehersal, Parker on a plastic alto - it’s still brilliant! If it not in your jazz collection, I have to ask why!!
