Customer Review: This is one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen!
I’m a 42 year old suburban mother, who, let’s face it, has seen the day of concerts like this go by. I recently bought the CD and it is top of my favorites of all time. I bought this DVD on an impulse and solely from the other reviews I read. OMG!!!! This DVD has been on my large screen TV for the last 4 hours and although I have the sound playing in every room IT STILL ISN’T LOUD ENOUGH! My 12 year old son is in hiding so he doesn’t have to watch his mom dancing around like…well, an older version of JT’s dancers! And the neighbors must be worried about my mental health, by now! One of my “guilty pleasures” has been JT’s last 2 albums, but they were practice for this one. My only regret is I didn’t see this tour live!
Customer Review: best show you could ever experience
i saw the show live twice in manchester m.e.n. it was truely amazing. if your a fan and never went to a concert you have got to see it.

Drop It Till It Pops Customer Review: Yo Ho Ho!
This deserves a wordier review! This great Liverpool trio seem to be lumped in with yer basic NME-friendly shoutalong indie but theres a lot more to them than that. There’s all sorts of stuff going on here. Really great songwriting, some great Pirate/Sea shanty references, some off-kilter time signatures, great lyrics, choruses you can sing along to, great harmony vocals and lots of whoops and hollers! Think a supercharged Field Music, XTC, or maybe The Battles if they decided to write pop songs. To cap it all, theres a sort of Afro-pop element there as well that Peelie would have loved. Many moments of sheer, unhinged delight in a field of its own.
Customer Review: Excellent Album!!!
I recently bought this album after going to a Hot Club gig and it is fantastic. Gets you singing along and chuckling at the lyrics. If you ever get a chance to see Hot Club De Paris live, do it… you will not regret it!

Fab Gear Classic Flower Power Pop From The Summer Of Love
Customer Review: Granny takes a trip to get some Fab Gear
The Summer of Love and The Kings Road is awash with the latest fashions. The Streets of London are alive to the Sounds of Flower Pop Pop Music. “Blow up” is just about to be released uncensored and everything is looking groovy. This excellent double C.D. Set compiled by Pete Lawrence of The Big Chill captures perfectly the mood of the times. There is enough great music on both these discs to satisfy anyones interest in the 40th Anniversary of that Golden era. Some songs will be more than familiar, others much less so and that`s what makes this collection such a complete box of delights.

My initial inclination was to buy this set for Mason William`s “Classical Gas” which was an old fave 45rpm. However, there is much more to this than meets the eye at first sight. For instance, for me, the undiscovered gem “Angel of the morning” by Merrilee Rush & The Turnabouts is another example of the diversity of this compilation. The sounds tend to favour melodies and hamonies rather than Psychedelia from the period, although there are some Psychedelic gems, such as “My white Bicycle” and “Incense & Peppermints” thrown in for good measure. This is in essence very happy upbeat music and makes you feel good to have been around at the time. However, if you weren`t that lucky, you can relive the moments with this fine revival collection. There really was “Something in the air” at that time.
