Ford Street Racing (PS2)
Customer Review: Average
Not bad game while you’re waiting for the next in a series of good ones. Starting with an escort or fiesta working up to mustangs and lightening F150’s hardly a head turning game. Few cars and few tracks make this a weekend game, that is it only takes this long to exhaust it. A simple playable game that only needs a couple of days to finish.

Customer Review: Hmmm… reality check
I could review this in a simple sentence.

The aim of the game is to save up enough money to buy a Ford Escort.

OK a slight exaggeration but not too far from the truth.

Don’t get me wrong, this game is not awful. It just has a very short life, few tracks and few cars that are actually fantasy. If I wanted to drive a Fiesta I would go through my front door and go to my grans.

You can’t knock the realism. The cars start first time with no trouble, you can smash them up and then only cost ?500 to repair and they take 30 seconds to hit 97mph. But all this hardly whets the appitite does it?

The team game aspect is an interesting twist. Drifting, the concept of driving close behind a team-mate and reduce your drag thus enabling you to increase your speed, has been done before but not in collaboration. The problem is that you can drift your team mate while they are a small speck on your horizon. Literally 100m away. Rediculous!

Finally, lets put it this way, if your mate bought this game and you had a go you would not want to borrow it… honest!
