Customer Review: Do you remember these albums? They featured covers of hits of the day
Note: The “Top of the Pops” series of albums, unrelated to the TV series, Were made from 1968 to 1981 and featured covers of well known hits using the finest studio musicians of the time. 1977, while not as bad as today, just didn’t offer that much great music. 1976 was a good, and 1979 was a blast, But 1977/1978 just didn’t have thast “special something” that makes a year good for music. That said, There is a very nice cover of ABBA’s “Knowing Me, Knowing You” that features great singing and a terrifically warm arrangement, A listenable cover of another ABBA hit known as “The Name of the Game” (While in both cases ABBA’s versions were better, These covers are pretty good considering they were recorded by studio musicians in one day), while a version of “I Feel Love”, while a bit too close to the original, does feature some great synth work. Apart from that, This is probably the weakest “Best-Of” album in this series, But it doesn’t cost too much, and the two ABBA covers make it fairly worthwhile.

Customer Review: Great for an absolute beginner
I have no lessons other than this DVD and the Dummies book and I feel like I’m making real progress. The approach is very practical - getting you to play something as early as possible, and I found that very motivating. The style of presentation is light hearted and not at all intimidating. I’m really pleased with this purchase and would reccommend it to any other newbie.
